Ground Venison Tater Tot Hotdish
Ingredients & Steps

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of ground venison (or beef)
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 10.75 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can full of milk
  • 1 2 lb package frozen tater tots, thawed

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease 9×13″ baking dish.
  3. In a saute pan, brown venison over medium heat.Drain off grease. Remove venison from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter. Add onions and green peppers. Saute over medium heat until softened.
  5. Return vension to pan, then add soup and milk. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes until heated through.
  6. Line the bottom of the prepared baking dish with half of the tots. Add meat mixture in an even layer. Top with another layer of tots.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until tots are browned and the meat mixture is bubbling.
