Ground Venison Tater Tot Hotdish
Ingredients & Steps
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of ground venison (or beef)
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 10.75 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 soup can full of milk
- 1 2 lb package frozen tater tots, thawed
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease 9×13″ baking dish.
- In a saute pan, brown venison over medium heat.Drain off grease. Remove venison from pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter. Add onions and green peppers. Saute over medium heat until softened.
- Return vension to pan, then add soup and milk. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes until heated through.
- Line the bottom of the prepared baking dish with half of the tots. Add meat mixture in an even layer. Top with another layer of tots.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes or until tots are browned and the meat mixture is bubbling.
